CLEVELANDURBANNEWS.COM-CLEVELAND, Ohio-Activists and faith-based groups, among others, and under the leadership of  (familiesbelong.org), will rally Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 10 am-1pm on Public Square in downtown Cleveland as part of a day of opposition across the country to President Donald Trump's racist immigration policies, an event that comes on the heels of some 575 women protesters arrested on June 28 at a Washington, D.C protest over the president's immigration policies. 

Organizers said that thousands are expected at the event.

Speeches will begin at 10 am.

Other activist groups participating include Women's March on Washington-Ohio Chapter, Women's March Cleveland, Imperial Women Coalition, International Women's Day March Cleveland, Cuyahoga County Democratic Women's Caucus, Indivisible Cleveland, Cuyahoga County Progressive Caucus, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, Naral Pro Choice, Refusefacism.org, Cleveland Jobs With Justice, Greater Cleveland Immigrant Support Network, InterReligious Task Force on Central America, America's Voice, District 14 Voice, Black on Black Crime Inc, Lorain County Rising, BEMAD, Action Protecting Our Children's Safety, Stop Targeting Ohio's Poor, Together Lakewood Area, ClevelandUrbanNews.Com, America's Voice, Peace in the Hood and For Ohio's Future.

Among the speakers, say organizers, are community activists and victims and the victims' family members.

Dubbed the "Families Belong Together," organizers told ClevelandUrbanNews.Com and the KathyWrayColemanOnlineNewsBlog.Com  that the rally is in response to the horrific abuses of immigrants, their children and families by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials, , including separating children from their families at the border and housing them in cages.

In particular, the protest comes in response to President Trump's actions in separating immigrant families at the Mexican border, and otherwise.

Ousted University Heights Mayor Susan Infeld, whom voters booted out of office Tuesday evening following claims of racism against Black residents, and alleged theft in office, and because she is running a theft ring in the city of illegal foreclosures on the homes of Cuyahoga County residents along with a corrupt and racist police department that she leads as safety director.
