Lawyers for CLASH ask Cleveland's law director to order council clerk to accept petition signatures for its lead-safe proposed ordinance and to submit the issue for city council to vote on, CLASH attorney Marc Dann, a former Ohio attorney general, saying that if Britt refuses to accept the signatures he will seek intervention by either the 8th District Court of Appeals or the Ohio Supreme Court by filing a petition for a writ of mandamus.....Cleveland activist and CLASH member Yvonka Hall also comments, Hall saying the fight for lead safe housing for Cleveland's children and others continues....Cleveland activist Donna Walker-Brown says she opposes the proposed legislation due to privacy issues, the lack of safeguards for Cleveland landlords, and not enough input from Black Cleveland activists and the Black community.....
