Cleveland native and legendary soul singer Bobby Womack is dead at 70

He was 70-years-old. His publicist did not provide specifics on his death to reporters, saying only that Womack had, in fact, passed away.  Womack was born on Cleveland's predominantly Black east side and dropped out of high school at 16 when he signed a recording contract with Sam Cooke, also a legendary name in soul and R&B music.
