CLEVELANDURBANNEWS.COM-CLEVELAND, Ohio-The Cleveland Cavaliers, led by megastar LeBron James, beat the Boston Celtics 109-99 at Quicken Loans Arena Friday night, a game six elimination game that forced a game seven in Boston Sunday night.
.
Under the leadership of head coach Tyronn Lue, who is Black, the Cavaliers are just one game away from winning the Eastern Conference Finals.
"We've got to be ready, ready to play, and with no excuses," said Lue.
LeBron finished with 46 points, the best of any player in a playoffs elimination game. And he had 11 rebounds and nine assists.
" It feels good just to be able to play another game," said James, who added that it took
"a lot of heart, a lot of grit, and being resilient."
Though Kevin Love left the game in the first half with a possible head concussion, James had plenty of help Friday night as the other Cavs starters had 27 points, collectively, and with George Hill and Jeff Green stepping up without reservation.
It was James' seventh 40 or more points game this post season.
The Cavaliers have won four times when facing elimination in the playoffs.
