CLEVELAND, Ohio-Democrat Dr. Amy Acton is leading by seven percentage points in Ohio governor's race over Republican Vivek Ramaswamy, according to a new poll.

The Marist Poll released Tuesday shows Acton leading Ramaswamy 50% to 43% among likely voters.

Ohio's former health director with the administration of outgoing Republican Gov. Mike DeWine, Acton would become the state's first Democrat to hold the post since Ted Strickland left office in 2011 if she were to win election this November.

CHICAGO— The Nation of Islam, with deep sadness, announced the recent passing of Brother Louis Farrakhan, Jr., the eldest son of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Mother Khadijah Farrakhan.
