 CLEVELAND URBAN NEWS.COM, CLEVELAND, Ohio – Ohio Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) announced Friday that she will attend two events this week in Cleveland with leaders of Muslim communities in forums that are open-to-the-public. (See full details and a list of community speakers below this article)

The first event is Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 2 pm at  Masjid Bilal, 7401 Euclid Avenue, and the second gathering, both of them of which are on the city's largely Black east side, and of which, in addition to Fudge, will include Muslim and other speakers as well as affiliates of the Ohio ACLU, is Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 10 am at First Cleveland Mosque, 3613 East 131st Street.

The federal lawmaker, one of two Blacks in Congress from Ohio, told Cleveland Urban News.Com, Ohio's most read digital Black newspaper, that she strongly opposes President Donald Trump’s executive order to ban Muslims from seven Muslim oriented countries from entering the United States, a controversial temporary ban now on hold after an appeals court deemed it unconstitutional.

“The 11th Congressional District is home to many Muslims and Muslims are a part of the fabric of our community," said Fudge, who leads Ohio's largely Black 11th congressional district, which includes major parts of the city of Cleveland and several of its eastern suburbs. "I fully support them and their right to worship freely and discrimination based on religion is squarely against our nation’s founding principles."

 Fudge said that "it is  time for the President to do what is right and live up to the promise of America."

 Raj Ali of the Cleveland-based Peace in the Hood said she invites everybody to Tuesday's forum with the congresswoman.

 "It is open to the public and we encourage everybody to attend," said Ali.

 Don Bryant, president of the greater Cleveland Immigrant Support Network, said the discrimination against immigrants is deplorable.

 "I will be at the event and we appreciate the opportunity to meet on this issue with Congresswoman Fudge," Bryant told Cleveland Urban News.Com.

Public Corruption: Cuyahoga County Judge Nancy Margaret Russo is illegally releasing secret grand jury testimony of corrupt White cops to try to intimidate maliciously indicted Blacks into plea deals with the help of the county public defender's office, and covering up public corruption regarding falsification of public case records of felony cases in her court, falsification by prosecutors, County Clerk of Courts Nailah Byrd and fellow judges such as Common Pleas Judge Joe Russo.....Judge Nancy Russo is also refusing to remove indigent counsel such as Scott Roger Hurley who are accused of colluding with the court and the prosecution against Black defendants, even when such indigent counsel, including Hurley, an assistant county public defender, violate her own court orders for discovery and to conduct proper pretrial investigations for their clients....The cases involve false charges of assault by Blacks on corrupt White cops, indictment fixing covered-up by Judge Nancy Russo, etc..... CHICAGO— The Nation of Islam, with deep sadness, announced the recent passing of Brother Louis Farrakhan, Jr., the eldest son of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Mother Khadijah Farrakhan. The family was aware of a previous heart condition and it appears that Louis, Jr., passed peacefully in his sleep at the family home in Phoenix, Ariz. He was 60 years old.
