CLEVELANDURBANNEWS.COM-CLEVELAND, Ohio-Led by the Imperial Women Coalition and Women's March Cleveland, community activists, family members of the murdered victims and the community in general will remember Cleveland East 93rd Street area murder victims Jazmine Trotter, Ashley Leszyeski, Christine Malone, Jameela Hasan, and Alianna DeFreeze during a rally and vigil at 5 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2018 at East 93rd Street and Bessemer Avenue in Cleveland, the day six years ago the dead body of Christine Malone was found at Bessemer and East 93rd Street in a vacant field. Speakers include community activists, and three of Malone's
grown children.
"Our family will continue to participate in rallies to remember the victims and to work to bring their killer or killers to justice and we thank Kathy Wray Coleman and other community activists, and the media, for keeping this issue alive," said Angelique Malone, a daughter of murder victim Christine Malone, who left behind eight grown children.
Angelique Malone said "we want our mother's killer found and brought to justice."
"We call for the killer of these women, all but one of the women of whom are Black, to step forward and we need for local, county and state and national policy makers and others to deal with this growing epidemic of heinous violence against Black women and girls and other women of Cleveland," said longtime community activist Kathy Wray Coleman of the Imperial Women Coalition who has organized every anniversary rally since 2014, and who a key organizer of Women's March Cleveland, International Women's Day March Cleveland.
Hasan, 37, was murdered in December of 2012, Malone, 45, and Trotter, 20, both in March of 2013, Leszyeski, 21, in May of 2013, and DeFreeze, a teenager, in January of 2017.
They were murdered on the city's largely Black east side along a two mile strip near East 93rd Street and Bessemer Avenue up to Harvard Avenue.
All five were Black accept Leszyeski, who resided on the city's West Side, and whose body was discovered in a vacant field with her hand cut off.
Their killer or killers, aside from Alianna, 14, whose killer, Christopher Whitaker, was convicted of her murder and sentenced to death this time last year by Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge Judge Carolyn Friedland, remains at large.

The bodies of Trotter and DeFreeze were discovered at abandoned homes.
Hasan was stabbed 17 times in an east side apartment.
Community activists and the murder victims families want answers as to the city's assertiveness, or lack thereof, in finding the killer or killers and an update from city officials on cold cases regarding murdered and raped women and girls, Black and poor women and girls in particular.

Public Corruption: Cuyahoga County Judge Nancy Margaret Russo is illegally releasing secret grand jury testimony of corrupt White cops to try to intimidate maliciously indicted Blacks into plea deals with the help of the county public defender's office, and covering up public corruption regarding falsification of public case records of felony cases in her court, falsification by prosecutors, County Clerk of Courts Nailah Byrd and fellow judges such as Common Pleas Judge Joe Russo.....Judge Nancy Russo is also refusing to remove indigent counsel such as Scott Roger Hurley who are accused of colluding with the court and the prosecution against Black defendants, even when such indigent counsel, including Hurley, an assistant county public defender, violate her own court orders for discovery and to conduct proper pretrial investigations for their clients....The cases involve false charges of assault by Blacks on corrupt White cops, indictment fixing covered-up by Judge Nancy Russo, etc..... Also at issue is foreclosure theft by the judges with JPMorgan Chase Bank and other banks and mortgage companies, hundreds and thousands of homes stolen and Blacks and others who complain sometimes maliciously indicted....Judge Nancy Margaret Russo's corruption comes less than 3 weeks after an FBI and IRS raid on Cleveland City Hall and as to a continuing FBI county corruption probe that has netted some 61 guilty pleas and convictions, including two former common pleas judges and two former county elected officials....
