CLEVELANDURBANNEWS.COM-London- After proposing last month in London, Prince Harry announced Monday that he will marry American actress Meghan Markle in a May 2018 wedding that is sure to be a lavish affair.

 The pair appeared together Monday for the first time as an engaged couple before photographers and the media to deliver the much anticipated news, Harry now off the market as a highly sought after bachelor. 
Fifth in line to the throne, Prince Harry, 33, is three years younger than the 36-year-old Markle, also a divorcee who stars in the TV  drama series 'Suit,' which is on the USA  cable channel network.

 Prince Harry is is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana, Princess of Wales

He was educated in the United Kingdom  

 His full name is Henry, Charles, Albert Davis.

 According to Wikipedia, he chose a military career, undergoing officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was later commissioned as a cornet (ie. second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother, and completed his training as a troop leader.

The charming Brit, the most popular in the British royal family, Prince Harry is the younger brother of Prince William and a grandson of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand since 1952.

 The marriage reportedly has the blessing of Queen Elizabeth.

The death in 1997 of his beloved and famous mother, Diana Princess of Wales (pictured left), Prince Charles' first wife, and who died while being chased in a car by the paparazzi driving at high speeds, changed British media.

 Diana, at 36-years-old,  was fatally injured in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris, an accident also resulted in the deaths of her companion Dodi Fayed and the driver, Henri Paul, who was the acting security manager of the Hôtel Ritz Paris; Trevor Rees-Jones (Diana's bodyguard) survived the crash. The televised funeral, on 6 September, was watched by a British television audience that peaked at 32.10 million, which was one of the United Kingdom's highest viewing figures ever.
