CLEVELAND, Ohio- Though the defense has rested in the officer Michael Brelo manslaughter case and oral arguments were held on May 5, Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge John O'Donnell, a documented thief who stole homes from country residents via fake foreclosures without plaintiffs in an effort to hand them to JPMorgan Chase Bank and other banks and mortgage companies for a fourth of the value, refuses to say when he will issue a verdict.  (Editor's note: The theft happened in various venues, including in University Heights with the help of city and county officials, the sheriff's office, and police, public records reveal. Sources say that O'Donnell himself has allegedly been protected from prosecution because he is White and male, and a judge. O'Donnell knew he had no authority or jurisdiction to preside over fake foreclosure cases with no plaintiffs, but did so anyway as a thief who believes he is above the law, sources say. The victims had paid on the homes for some nine years,  and had not refinanced, and had paid on their mortgages as required by law, data show. Complaints to the Cleveland NAACP were met with further harassment, victims said).

O'Donnell, who lost a bid for the Ohio Supreme Court last November, and who according to public records, has stalked Black women, some for 12 years, and would try and steal their homes, told prosecutors and defense counsel on May 1 that he might issue a verdict in coming weeks,or he might wait a month, who knows. He even said that he may issue it the week of national police week, which is the week beginning May 11 where officers are memorialized, among other events. This, said sources, is an indication that the judge may need a mental examination.

"Judge O'Donnell is a documented thief and may have some other serious issues," said a greater Cleveland community activist on condition of anonymity. "We call for an immediate mental examination."

Brelo is facing two counts of voluntary manslaughter.

O'Donnell is hearing the case in lieu of a jury per Brelo's request.

Cleveland police officer Michael Brelo
Brelo last year tried to have the judge removed from the case claiming he is bias and corrupt, an effort thwarted by Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor, who denied the affidavit of prejudice.

Brelo, who is White, fired 49 of the 137 shots fired by a total of 13-non Black Cleveland cops who gunned down unarmed Blacks Malissa Williams, 30, and Timothy Russell, 43, following a high speed car chase in 2012 that began in downtown Cleveland and ended in a middle school parking lot in neighboring East Cleveland. He  currently suspended without pay pending the outcome of his trial.

No gun was found at the deadly scene.

The other 12 Cleveland officers that did the shooting, 11 White and one Hispanic, were not charged with crimes per the support of county prosecutor Tim McGinty, and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, both of them of whom are White also, and of whom were endorsed by local and state police unions.
