CLEVELAND, Ohio-Women's March Cleveland will highlight that it has been 48 years since the U.S. Supreme Court, on Jan 22, 1973, issued a landmark decision that made abortion legal nationwide in Roe v, Wade at its fifth annual rally and women's march beginning at 1 pm. on Sat. Event speakers will also include family members of Cleveland women killed by domestic and other violence, state Rep. Stephanie Howse of Cleveland, whose speech will include a discussion on the dangers of "Stand Your Ground" legislation in Ohio and elsewhere as it relates to Black women and Black people, activist and motivational speaker Genevieve Mitchell of Cleveland, and Cleveland Ward 14 Councilwoman Jasmin Santana.
Brown is also chair of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party, the first Black woman to hold the post.
Coronavirus safety precautions are required, including face-masks and social distancing, organizers said.
