Louis Farrakhan, Jr. Louis Farrakhan, Jr., was the eldest son of Min. Farrakhan and Mother Khadijah Farrakhan (R) Louis Farrakhan, Jr., in background with his father during visit to National Civil Rights Museum. CHICAGO— The Nation of Islam, with deep sadness, announced the recent passing of Brother Louis Farrakhan, Jr., the eldest son of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Mother Khadijah Farrakhan. The family was aware of a previous heart condition and it appears that Louis, Jr., passed peacefully in his sleep at the family home in Phoenix, Ariz. He was 60 years old. The announcement was made on June 2. The funeral, or janazah, service was planned for June 8 at Mosque Maryam in Chicago at 3 p.m. CST. “We extend our love, support and prayers to the Farrakhan family, the family and children of Louis, Jr., the entire Nation of Islam and to all who knew and loved our dear brother,” said an  official statement from the Nation of Islam .   CLICK HERE TO R

Sheila McFarland's murder conviction and life sentence upheld by an all Black Ohio 8th District Court of Appeals panel, with Judge Melody Stewart dissenting, McFarland, who is Black, of whom received a life sentence without the possibility of parole from Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Daniel Gaul after she called the White judge racist, Gaul thereafter promising revenge, and though McFarland did not do the killing and was never at the scene of the crime .....Judge Stewart said in her dissent that there is no evidence to support McFarland's convictions and life sentence....Community activist Alfred Porter Jr. of Black on Black Crime Inc. says McFarland's murder conviction and life sentence without the possibility of parole are "unjust."......The McFarland family says her appointed trial court attorney, Attorney Donald Butler, who is Black, was allegedly ineffective, though her appellate attorneys did not raise the issue of ineffective assistance of counsel on appeal in seeking to get her convictions and life sentence overturned on appeal....
