Emilia Sykes (OH-13) issued a statement on Wednesday after a Hamilton County common pleas judge issued a preliminary injunction that will temporarily block enforcement of Ohio laws banning use of telemedicine in medication abortions, and prohibiting certified nurse midwives, physician assistants and other non-physician medical professionals from prescribing medication abortion pills. Sykes is an Akron Democrat and one of three Black womenwho are in Congress from Ohio.
