Pictured are Democratic Ohio Supreme Court 2020 candidates 10th District Court of Appeals Judge Jennifer Brunner, also a former Ohio secretary of state, and Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge John O'Donnell, and Cleveland Ward 9 Councilman Kevin Conwell, Brunner and O'Donnell seeking election in 2020 as Democrats to two seats on the seven-member Ohio Supreme Court, currently of which is majority Republican, and has one Black justice, Democratic Justice Melody Stewart.  Democratic Councilman Conwell led Black leaders in lobbying constituents to keep O'Donnell off the state's high court when he sought election to the Ohio Supreme Court in 2016 after the judge acquitted a White Cleveland cop of gunning down two unarmed Blacks, O'Donnell making his third bid in 2020 for the state's high court as Blacks in Cleveland despise him.
