Cavs guard Donovan "Spida" Mitchell was the team's lead scorer, finishing with 35 points.  NBA Monday night basketball is presented by Peacock. With four games in thus far, the Cavs have won three straight games and are now 3-1 and sixth in the Eastern Conference. They lost only their first game, against the New York Nicks, earlier this month. At the onset of the third quarter on Monday against the Pistons, all five Cavs starters —Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, Sam Merrill, and Jaylan Tyson —were in double digits, and by the fourth quarter, the Cavs were up 90-66, a 24-point lead. Antonio (pictured), a Lakewood Democrat,  released a statement after Republicans failed to present a congressional district map proposal at the first meeting of the Ohio Redistricting Commission. Antonio's 23rd state Senate district includes 14 of Cleveland's 17 wards, and Cleveland, a largely Black city, is part of the 11th congressional district in Ohio.  The Ohio Constitution requires that the Commission, which voters established in 2015 per a constitutional amendment, pass a bipartisan map by the end of October. Antonio is a member of the seven-member Commission due to her role as Minority Leader, a commission that also includes the governor, auditor and secretary of state.  The Ohio Supreme Court can review any map for compliance with the state constitution Ohio has 15 congress...

Clevelandurbannews.com and Kathywraycolemanonlinenewsblog.com  Staff article  CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland Browns broke their three-game losing streak on Sunday, beating the Miami Dolphins 31-6 at Huntington Bank Field Stadium in downtown Cleveland, and in rainy weather during the first half of the game. It was a glorious win for Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski and Browns fans. The Browns are now 2-5. At halftime, the Browns led 17-3 with rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel at the helm. At the onset of the fourth quarter, the Browns were up 31-6. The Dolphins, however, were unable to mount a comeback and were sent home packing. The Browns' second-round pick, Gabriel went 13 passes for 116 yards and finished the game with 84 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's 24.1 passer rating was the lowest of his NFL career. He also threw three interceptions for the second consecutive week. Browns rookie quarterback Dellon Gabriel, the team's first quarterback of Filipino and Native Hawaiian descent , played his second game as the team's lead quarterback. Gabriel went 29-for-52 (58%) passing for 221 yards , and Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers  completed 14 of 23 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.
