Cleveland Black contractors rally on Monday, April 24, before Cleveland City Council seals the deal with its contribution of $88 million toward a $282 million project to renovate the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio that houses the Cleveland Cavaliers. While the Black contractors were happy with the deal that Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish, Mayor Frank Jackson and City Council President Kevin Kelley say will benefit the city and the county, community activists in general called the Q-Deal a raw deal that undermines inner city residents and poor people, among others.
