East Cleveland serial killer Michael Madison  From left: Angela Deskins,   Shirellda Terry and  Shetisha Sheeley, the victims of serial killer Michael Madison Led by greater Cleveland community activist Kathy Wray Coleman of the Imperial Women Coalition and covered by local and national mainstream media, including CNN, hundreds rally on July 24, 2013 in East Cleveland after the remains of three Black women were uncovered at the intersection of Shaw and Hayden Avenues in East Cleveland, an impoverished Black suburb of Cleveland.  Their killer,  Michael Madison, was handed a death sentence on June 2, 2016 by Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge Nancy McDonnell, and following a recommendation by the jury that convicted him last month on 13 counts, including three counts each of kidnapping and aggravated murder.
