Thomasha Ussery Staff article EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio—  Community activists, friends and family members  of the 22-year-old Black Cleveland woman who was gunned down in East Cleveland on Sun, July 9 will hold a rally and prayer vigil for justice for the woman at 5 pm  on Tuesday, July 18 at 1885 North Taylor Road where the fatal shooting occurred. Thomasha Ussery 22, was beaten and shot and killed early last Sunday morning following an alleged fight in East Cleveland, a small majority Black and impoverished Cleveland suburb where crime, poverty and police malfeasance are rampant. C- The  Supreme Court  ruled Thursday that colleges and universities  can no longer take race  into consideration as a specific basis in admissions — a landmark decision that overturns long-standing precedent that has benefited Black and Latino students in higher education.
