Ohio judge tosses out new state law that prevents Cleveland and other communities from hiking the minimum wage above the state limit saying it was attached to a non-singular bill that became law and that the Ohio constitution requires single subject bills, the judge not addressing the merits of the new law and leaving it open for another state law that blocks a minimum wage hike per a single-subject bill, though the election this year for Cleveland mayor and city council has reignited the debate on the $15 minimum wage that unions and activists want.....The Nov 8 ballot initiative pushed by Raise Up Cleveland and SEIU that lets Cleveland voters decide on a possible minimum wage hike to $15 can go forward for now.....By editor Kathy Wray Coleman of www.clevelandurbannews.com and www.kathywraycolemanonlinenewsblog.com, Ohio's Black digital news leaders
